MAZE, Mayfair

LANES OF LONDON, Park Lane

TAI PAN, Northwood

OLIVELLI, St Chirstopher's Place

I have a special place for this restaurant - been visiting this place for years when it was called Paradiso. The food is spectacular - simple flavors that pack a punch and the most on hands service you will find. Definitely my go to Italian in London.

BERNERS TAVERN, Fitzrovia

Right mixed reviews about this place. Let's talk about the good points first:
1. Service amazing - incredibly attentive (arranged a hotel room to offer prayers in)
2. Ambiance and decor - WOW
3. Desserts are to die for!

On to the not so good points - I expected an explosion of flavors but it was disappointed and it was a bit of an anti-climax. Certain dishes were very good and but I was left wanting more, it lacked a je ne sais quoi. Maybe I ordered the wrong items. I want to love this place but I think I need another visit before I rule it out altogether.

ARBUTUS, Frith Street

Liz looking every inch the fashionista!
So Arbutus, a small low key 1 Michelin star restaurant with an American chef creating some exquisite dishes. Scallops were cooked to perfection, winter salad crunchy and zesty, beef and polenta chips eeeekk the excitement in your mouth and the sea bass with truffle was just delicioso. The dessert oh the dessert, warm chocolate soup with milk ice cream. Results two satisfied smiling ladies :)
